DCX system startup and shutdown procedure
Initial system check
- Check all plugs are securely seated and all connections are tight
- Ensure all 240VAC circuit breakers and 12V switches are in the OFF position before starting
Power on procedure
- Turn the red Battery Isolator key clockwise to the I (ON) position
- Press and hold the Push to Power button for a full 7 seconds
- The BMS screen will illuminate and the 48V and BMS blue LEDs will appear on the top panel confirming the battery has started
- Once the battery is on, switch all circuit breakers to the ON position one by one
If holding the button for 7 seconds does not start the system, check all plug connections on the front of the DCX unit are firmly seated, particularly the green INV plug and the battery CAN loom connector.
Shutdown procedure
- Unplug grid or shore power from the side of the RV
- Turn off the Main Switch Inverter Supply on the inverter switchboard
- Turn off the red Battery Isolator key on the 12V Power System
- Turn off the PV Array DC Isolator on the front of the DCX Inverter Power System
Storage mode
Charge or discharge the battery to 50% SoC (approximately 51.4VDC) then follow the standard shutdown procedure. Storing above 80% or below 40% SoC causes faster capacity degradation.
Grid bypass mode
If the inverter is not working and you need 240V from shore power: switch OFF the Main Switch Grid Supply, switch OFF the Main Switch Inverter Supply, then flip the Bypass Switch to the UP (Grid Bypass) position.
Always return the Bypass Switch to the DOWN (Inverter) position before unplugging shore power. Battery charging is not possible in Bypass mode.
