DCX Power System maintenance schedule
Performing routine preventative maintenance on the DCX Power System is important for optimal performance and to protect your warranty. Regularly maintained systems experience significantly fewer faults.
Maintenance schedule

| Air intake filters | Every 3 months | Remove dust from inverter intake grilles. Take care no debris falls inside the unit. Refit carefully. |
| Solar panel cleaning | Every 3 months | Rinse with water and soft cloth. Perform full DCX shutdown first including roof solar isolators. Never clean damaged panels. |
| Cable connections | Every 6 months | Inspect all terminals at battery, DC input, and AC output for corrosion or looseness. Tighten as needed. |
| Battery mounting bolts | Every 6 months | Check bolts are adequately torqued and in place. Battery must not shift during travel. |
| Emergency sounder and 9V battery | Every 6 months | Press the TEST button with no appliances running to verify the sounder is working. Remove, recycle, and replace the 9V battery every 6 months. |
| SoC calibration | As needed | Perform if SoC% reading drifts significantly from the voltage reference table. See the battery calibration article for full procedure. |
| Watchpower settings check | After any servicing | Verify bulk and float charge voltage settings remain correct after dealer servicing or firmware updates. |
| Storage preparation | Before long-term storage | Charge or discharge battery to 50% SoC (51.4VDC). Storing above 80% or below 40% causes accelerated capacity degradation. |
Solar panel cleaning safety
When cleaning solar panels: follow the full DCX Power System shutdown procedure including all solar breakers on the roof before beginning. Never clean damaged panel arrays — hail damage or cracked panels can cause unexpected electrical shock. Never isolate solar panels in direct sunlight while under load as this can cause switch failure or fire. If cleaning from the ground is not possible, do not access the roof without appropriate safety equipment and training.
Emergency sounder testing
Ensure no appliances are running before pressing the TEST button as testing the sounder will shut down the battery Power System. Press RESET to deactivate the sounder after testing. A complete system restart is required to restore battery power after the sounder test.
