Watchpower app — connecting to your inverter and adjusting settings
Watchpower is the app used to view and adjust inverter settings including charge voltage, battery parameters, and enabled or disabled features. It is the primary tool for resolving BMS overcharge errors.
Option A — Android via Bluetooth (recommended)
- Download Watchpower BLE from the Google Play Store. Search for Watchpower BLE or contact OzX Corp support for a direct link.
- Open the app and select your inverter from the Bluetooth device list.
- Enter the connection password when prompted: 1234567
- Navigate to Settings then Battery Parameter Settings to adjust charge voltages, or Settings then Enable/Disable Items to control features.
Option B — Laptop via USB cable
- Contact OzX Corp support to request a USB communication cable. We will ship one to your address.
- For Windows: download Watchpower PC from the link provided by OzX Corp support.
- For Mac: download Watchpower for Mac.
- Connect the USB cable between your laptop and the inverter communication port on the front of the DCX unit.
- Open Watchpower and select the correct COM port from the connection menu to establish the link.
iPhone and iPad users
iPhones and iPads cannot connect to the inverter via Bluetooth. This is an iOS limitation, not a fault with your system. An Android device or a laptop with a USB cable is required for Watchpower access.
Key settings — fixing BMS overcharge errors
If you are adjusting settings to resolve an overcharge error: navigate to Settings then Battery Parameter Settings. Reduce both the BULK CHARGE VOLTAGE and the FLOAT CHARGE VOLTAGE by 0.4V each (from 58V to 57.6V). Set the FLOAT voltage first then BULK. Allow the battery to discharge slightly below the new target voltage then recharge to confirm the error is resolved. If it persists, reduce by a further 0.4V.
When to contact OzX Corp before adjusting settings
If you are unsure which setting to adjust or if adjustments have not resolved the issue, contact OzX Corp support before making further changes. Incorrect settings can affect system performance and battery life.
